Basement Door Lock
In some older house I noticed this beautiful rusty door lock to the basement. Many people would open the door, instead I made an image.

TECH-INFO: I took three bracketed shots. The EXIF data is from the middle exposure. I tried to get as close as possible with my wide angle lens to create depth. Unfortunately the minimum focus distance is 30 cm.
From the right a window providing soft blue-ish cloudy-weather light. From the left light from low-energy light bulbs, hanging in the room, which yielded warmer tones. All shots combined in Photomatrix to enhance the structures and texture of the wood and lock.

UPDATE: submitted on Vazaar for the topic Old. And also submitted on Shutterday for the theme Lock and Key.
