Abandoned - Cyan Glass

Cyan colored glass, being part of an old factory or storage place, in Zyrardow, Poland. It was weird to see that. I couldn't think of any meaningful purpose, especially I assume it was build during communism. In other words a time period where every building was pure functional and somehow had to look even (very) depressing. This kind of glass is used quite a lot in this building, e.g. around the corner I took this shot.

This summer I didn't had much to time to work on my Abandoned Series but now I really have too. I would like to enter a contest (due date is November 1) and I would like to use mainly images of this series. If I ever would win than my images will hang on an exposition in Antwerp.

TECH-INFO: I was lucky, the sun was setting which provided very nice light. I had my tripod, bubble level (to get all the lines straight),a cable release, hand gloves, a warm hat and a scarf because it was windy and freezing like hell (althoughit might be very hot in the latter place). I took 7 exposures, of each of stop difference, in order to capture all lighting details. At home I performed lens corrections with DxO Optics Pro and merged them into a HDR file with Photomatrix Pro. After tone mapping, to get lots of detail, I enhanced colors and contrasts in Photoshop using several masked adjustment layers. Finally some vignetting is added. The steps above are becoming a standard process for me, especially for images which I post on this blog.
