photoblog image The Three Pipes

The Three Pipes

I did some experimenting here by using multiple images and layers (see tech-info). I found those funny pipes in the Europe College in Brugge. See here for another image made over there.

I'm sorry for the lower updates on my photoblog but lately I'm working on some big and time-consuming project with my family, I'm doing an evening course (which is very interesting) and finally at my job we have quite a few deadlines the next coming weeks and months. All very nice but makes it hard to keep up posting every two days nice pictures. Especially I like the processing part a lot. The latter makes me escape from everything and clears my mind.

TECH-INFO: I took 5 exposures for creating a HDR image and to tone-map it. The only purpose was to re-balance contrasts and lighting. I mixed multiple images, in fact textures. To give the walls much more structure I used a concrete wall and crackles texture. On top of everything I put a grunge paint texture. I removed parts of the top texture at the places where the pipes point to you, so it gives more depth.

Great processing, Paul - those pipes are amazing, almost an art work in themselves!
