If you look well you see some oddities in the sky like branches, dropped leaves, a metal pipe and ripples of water. What's more: the picture is turned up-side-down. In short, it's a reflection in a little lake. I really love such images. Many people post images where you see a little water pool filled with a great reflection. I would love to shoot such images too. Hopefully I can post more in the future.

this is really beautiful, Paul. First of all, the tones are fantastic. I like that they are earthy and cool. It helps add to the vintage feel and looks like it could be a scene out of a movie. Second, I like the perspective and how big the sky feels here, as though the trees are stretching up trying to touch the clouds. well done!
An amazing illusion! I immediately noticed that there were some incongruous elements in the picture, but I had no idea what the real story was until I read your explanation . Bravo!
