One of the monkeys in Apenheul, in Apeldoorn Holland. If you love those animals then this is the place to be.
TECH-INFO: a telephoto lens is used to get a closer view of this monkey. A single JPG is processed in DxO Optics Pro. I slightly cropped the image. Therefore I used the diagonal method. You can make in your mind two squares by cropping the bottom or top of the image. On the diagonal lines of such square you place important elements. For instance the eye at the left of the monkey is on the diagonal of the top square. I still need to practice this method.
In Photoshop I made the animal brighter and the background darker using masked selective color tool layers. I painted on them using a pen. The pressure sensitivity makes it much easier to do small adjustments and corrections. Finally some contrast changes where added on the head and certain borders of the image. Also a vignette is added.
