Two Kids having fun in the snow. I really like the expressions on both of them. The girl is waiting till her father continues pulling the sleigh.


TECH-INFO: one RAW file converted into a TIFF file using DxO Optics Pro. In Photoshop I desaturated the image using the channel mixer set in gray mode. The opacity of that layer is set around 80% to preserve some color, extra color is retained by masking parts of the clothes and faces. The background is blurred using Focal Point 2. For the fans of this program: I made a selection (in Photoshop) of the two kids with sleigh, to keep them in focus; then I used two planar focus-bugs, a vertical one to slightly blur the wall and a horizontal one to give depth at the right side by feathered blurring. White vignetting is added two which "melts" together with the snow. Finally on top I added a dust layer texture which emulates the falling snow. The dust was laying on the screen of my television. I already used this dust texture a couple of times in my posted images.
