photoblog image Side View of Sagrada Familia

Side View of Sagrada Familia

The beautiful and impressive church Sagrada Familia, in Barcelona, Spain. This image is shot later in the afternoon which yields those warmer colors. On the wall there is so much too see. The picture on this blog is bit too small but while zooming in I noticed animals like frogs, snails and lizards.

This image may cheer us up because the weather outside is cold, gray, rainy and boring (at least in Belgium).

TECH-INFO: 7 JPGs shot hand held, processed in DxO Optics Pro, then merged into HDR using Photoshop (for auto alignment) and tone-mapped with Photomatix Pro. After wards some color and contrast enhancements are done, that's all.

This is the most impressive building Paul : and you have photographed it so well
the POV is very creative, works well for me
You have reminded me to go back here, like you say so much to see.
stunning capture! the POV is perfect for this. bravo!
It's an amazing building - which I've seen a couple of times. It's a pity that Gaudi didn't live to follow through on his design because I think the later architects have nowhere near his individual genius and the contrast between Gaudi's work and the later is quite striking. You can see it here, for example - below the rose window on the right you have a very 'organic' kind of framing for the glass, whereas to the left, the windows remind one of nothing more radical than Norman gothic

I went to Barcelona in 2002 - what an amazing structure this is... Massive and majestic. Youve captured its true scale. Awesome.
