photoblog image The old Fuse Box

The old Fuse Box

Shot in the old Europa College building in Brugge (Belgium), which is of course not used anymore. If you would turn to the right you get to see this view of the stairs. I really love such old buildings, so much to see and to explore. I definitely need to go back before they start renovating the place.

TECH-INFO: 5 bracketed images, each with a stop difference, used to make a HDR file. After tone-mapping in Photomatix Pro, I processed it more in Photoshop. This includes a bunch of layers. By painting on their masks I selectively changed (like darker, lighter, more/less color) of various parts. In general the fuses, wires, bolts & nuts and other electric devices are enhanced this way. The image is also partly desaturated with the B/W tool. Finally the image is cropped and vignetting is added.

THe result is brillant. Excellent work!
My husband is an electrician, so he is going to love this shot. Very nicly captured smile
No doubt this was the latest equipment when it was installed Paul.
You've certainly pulled out the detail here, Paul - could be used in a tech manual!
Well crafted picture Paul

Wow, very intricate - you've certainly captured the detail in this one. Love all the coloured wires.
