I made this image yesterday for the VFXY theme Vegetables :-) Of course I tried first tomatoes but because it might be a very popular item I decided to try something else: just holding a bunch of fresh carrots in my hand.
TECH-INFO: yesterday I finally made my own 10 euro macro photo studio, read here on strobist for all the details. In the box I have put a black sheet of paper for background, put one speedlight flash above the box and another one at the left of the camera. At the right side I used a white sheet of paper for fill light. The lens was a 35mm macro to focus close (was around 20 cm between the sensor and the subject).
For post processing I made the blacks darker and the green and red pop up a little bit more.
