photoblog image The White Round Building

The White Round Building

Shot in the modern part of the City Den Haag, Holland (in English they write: The Hague). When we came out of the parking, which was under the ground, we were standing next to this building. It was looking really amazing. You don't see often such kind of round buildings.

TECH-INFO: five shots with each a stop difference. Lens corrections done in DxO Optics Pro. Merged and aligned into a HDR file using Photoshop. Tone mapped in Photomatrix Pro. I tried to obtain a realistic look. After tone mapping I further enhanced the image a lot in Photoshop. First some extra contrast and stronger colors using the curves tool and the selective color tool. Via masked adjustment layers I brightened the building (using the screen blending mode) because after tone mapping it was too grey. In reality this building has a white color. With another masked adjustment layer of the curves tool I darkened the sky a lot (using the multiply blending mode).

DXO doesn't work, the building kept barrel distortion (hahaha)! Intersting work, ĞLa Hayeğ in french.

Very strange building!
"L'Aia" in italian grin

That's a lot of work, but well worth it. The result is stunning. Very nice!
LightningPaul: Many thanks for your comment smile
I like it, it's clean and graphical almost.
LightningPaul: thanks Nigel. I cleaned the whole building before taking images ;-)
