photoblog image A View of Zyrardow

A View of Zyrardow

A nice landscape view in Zyrardow, Poland. This image is taken while I was capturing for my abandoned series. The low sun, blue sky and bit of snow made it all looking very beautiful.

TECH-INFO: because of the pretty strong back light of the sun I shot 9 pictures, using a tripod, cable release and bubble level. As many of my images on this blog used DxO Optics Pro for lens corrections, Photoshop to merge them into a HDR file and Photomatrix to tone map it. Afterwards I processed it more using several masked adjustment layers. All curves and selective colors tools, though I used several layer blending modes like multiply, screen and soft light.
I have been trying for a realistic but still punchy and even bright looking image. Especially most areas are in the shadows. I also removed some garbage laying on the grass with the patch tool or cloning stamp in some more difficult cases.

Love the punch you bring with your hdr images Paul
Superbly executed Paul. You have managed to keep the feel.
It feels so cold smile Superb capture and lovely tonal range.
Wow, wonderful shot. Color rendering is superb!
LightningPaul: Many thanks Giorgio. I worked hard on those colors.
Brrrr. Already in the winter! smile Great work on the light. Magical.

LightningPaul: In the summer it can be a bit warm, so I thought I winter image could cool down everyone smile
I don't quite understand all the details of your procesing Paul but you have turned out a very beautiful image.
LightningPaul: Never mind Brian. A year ago I wouldn't understand it either. Somehow at the right moment I took a deep dive into all this processing. For now just enjoy the result. Many thanks for your comment.
Winter, it is fully summer here
LightningPaul: I agree, but not when I took this picture smile

I'm not entirely sure whether it's some kind of infra red shot, or I'm actually seeing snow/frost there.
I do hope it's frost, because that's exactly what I need when the temperature here is about 40C smile
LightningPaul: It's not infra red, just shot seven months ago => so good news it's frost smile
Imagine wearing a tick coat, a warm hat and hand gloves just to be able to stand there to capture this shot.

I love the softness of this picture. To me, the sun streams make the picture warm smile (and not cold).
This is great, it's strange seeing the sun introduce so much colour, to an otherwise fairly bland image.

Excellent shot to my eyes too; "removed some garbage laying" LOL! The next depollution technique (or using Wall-e robot)...
