This one is made for the MacroDay theme Coffee. It's my coffee of yesterday and it tasted great :-)


TECH-INFO: I used a tripod, cable release and my 35mm macro lens. I took a couple of RAW files while letting the coffee flow. While capturing I focused on different spots to see what works best.

Initially I tried to convert the RAW file in ACR but unfortunately the colors looked like (green) shit. I really love the way how Nikon converts (or makes in camera) to JPG, especially for the warm red tones. Finally last week I found out how to get very similar colors in DxO Optics Pro. I used the the preset realistic in the color rendition profiles (option in choice camera body) and added some extra saturation. After RAW conversion I enhanced contrast of several spots and places using Photoshop. Also I heavily cropped the image which was actually the hardest part.
