Celine #3
Two days ago there was a Belgian Strobist Meeting in Zeebrugge, the town where I live. It was really nice. Unfortunately most models cancelled or didn't show up, except
Celine. Despites the weather forecast predicted beautiful weather with 24 degrees Celsius, we had rain and cold wind too. Nevertheless we managed to shoot a couple fantastic images. Especially some other members had very cool ideas.
TECH-INFO: we have a mix of soft light of an umbrella, at the right of the camera, powered with a strobe and even softer ambient light. Normally their was a snooted flash at the left behind the model to brighten her hair but I can't find any trace of it in the image. Probably it didn't fire.
Because of the rain we used voice activated light stands (thanks to Richard and Geert) in case the rain would become to bad we could shelter quickly. We tried a few positions. Many of the images are quite cool. I choose this one because I love how the model plays with her fingers and necklace, and the cool look of her face.
The white balance was set on cloudy, because of the rainy weather and it makes the light of the strobes warmer.
For post processing I first used DxO Optics Pro for lens corrections and to balance global contrast. Afterwards in Photoshop I smoothed the skin a bit, regulated the contrast even further (e.g. I used my self made preset,
described and used here), enhanced the color of her sweter and finally added vignetting.
