The Blue Drink

Last Tuesday the yearly challenge of the local photography club Blandia took place. This time we got three hours to shoot images around the beach of Blankenberge, in Belgium. We must have three images of each of the colors blue, green, yellow, red and some funky mix of flashy colors (= my free interpretation of a non existing word). It was easy to take images with those colors but bloody hard to shoot some decent ones. For the color blue I did a little investment by buying a blue granito. In a few months we must present the images to the other members of the club. Wish me good luck :-)

UPDATE: posted for VFXY theme Drink.

TECH-INFO: how do you make such image? Find a nice bar at the beach, choose a granito with the color you need, pay two euro, find a nice little table with a good background and shoot a bunch of images where you vary the angle. Finally you drink the granito, relax and enjoy the resting time, knowing you have a good shot.

During post processing I converted the RAW file with DxO Optics Pro to JPG. In Photoshop I enhanced contrast and colors a bit using the curves and selective color tool. No cropping was done.

It's a scorching heat outside.
About 40C/104F outside, here in Israel.
Do you realize what you've done showing me this, cold, chilling, sweet and delicious ice?!
Very mean smile

Love the play of blue and yellow here, nicely done!
LightningPaul: It was meant to be very mean :-D
An angle aparttongue And beautiful colours!
Love it, Paul.
LightningPaul: Many thanks Kavita smile Such an angle is sometimes called the Dutch tilt. It makes an image more dynamic but you only can use it from time to time.
