The new Garage Floor
While shooting in Zyrardow, Poland for my
Abandoned Series, I also took a few images of something that is getting renewed. It's the garage floor of one of the big red brick factories where they used to produce high quality linen. They are changing, renovating and fixing everything to sell it them as lofts. I forced my lens between the metal bars to get an inside view. Luckily nobody was working or passing over there at that moment.
TECH-INFO: Like most of my Abandoned Series images, I used a tripod, bubble level and a cable release. Because of the huge contrast range, I shot 9 JPGs. For post processing I used DxO Optics Pro for lens corrections, Photomatrix for merging them into HDR and eventually tone-mapping. Finally in Photoshop I enhanced several parts using layers.
The tone mapping really enhanced the structures of the concrete. Despites it's slightly getting sureal I really like them.
