Abandoned - Factory Windows

This is one of the more modern buildings among all the abandoned factories in Zyrardow, Poland. Probably it is build during communism because there are no red bricks, like in this one. As far as I know there is no activity inside anymore. It is shot in the winter. You can see the reflections of trees without any leaves. This building is located near the also abandoned power plant. The wooden panels are pretty unique. I haven't seen any other building in the neighborhood looking similar.

UPDATE: submitted for the VFXY theme Dark.

TECH-INFO: like many of my other HDR images, I shot several shots using a tripod. Despites the contrast was not very high, it was the only way to get all details. I used tone mapping mainly to enhance all the details. In Photoshop I improved several parts. The top and bottom are darkened to move the focus to the windows. The windows and parts of the wood got more contrast.

After posting this image, I had another look to the HDR source file with Photomatrix Pro. It lets you view a small area but adjusts the brightness in that area. I see many many more details than on this image. I guess we have to wait until we have real HDR screens, then we finally can start enjoying real HDR images, instead of tone mapped versions.

Might be a long wait for those monitors, splendid image even with this crappy LDR monitor
LightningPaul: That was the goal: still to get something great on our crappy LDR monitors smile
very good persepctive in this one
LightningPaul: Thanks Chantal. I tried some different angle. Also wide angle really accentuates depth.

HDR monitors, that could be interesting. Not sure how that would work with photographic prints which would still need tone mapping.

Good use of HDR and not over done as many others seem to.
LightningPaul: You're right, I didn't think of that, for printing we would all need to tone map and some will end up with totally overdone prints :-D

Pretty cool!
From the angle you took, it's not immediately clear that's it's a building. Looked like some kind of path first time I looked at it. smile
Great !
LightningPaul: Yeah, indeed, it was looking so much upwards it looks almost like I was laying on the floor.
Nice angle - well spotted.
LightningPaul: I'm glad you like it smile
Beautiful textures and tone. Also great perspective. All round really nice shot!
LightningPaul: Thanks a lot! I'm very glad you like it.

I love it, industrial abandoned mood. Great treatment !
LightningPaul: Also love industrial stuff. Thanks!
I find the composition well done, especially the contract between the random shapes of the tree that reflect on the glasses and the metallic structure of the wall surface.
LightningPaul: Thanks for your comment Thierry.

Just wait for an organic screen with cones and rods like eyes photons receptors... And tone mapping will take the edge. Fantastic view, strange and dramatic. Bravo.
LightningPaul: Thanks smile
DAmn it. looks so real and clear. I love your style man!
LightningPaul: Thanks, I'm very glad you like the style.
Nice abstract shot! Good toning!
LightningPaul: Thanks Laurens!
