Spaghettti on the Road

While doing shopping I found this on the ground. Somebody lost his spaghetti, or tried it and decided it was not so tasty :-) Fortunately I got my camera with my and turned this ordinary waste into a (hopefully) fine blog post.

TECH-INFO: this was shot on the parking between two cars. The white line divides the parking places. It was not easy to make this shot a bit more special. I only wanted the spaghetti and the road, and to use my ultra wide angle at the same time. The tricks were: get very low to the ground and crop the image (here into 5/2 ratio, but only the bottom and the top parts are removed). I shot one RAW file.
During post processing I enhanced the clarity and contrast. The selective color tool is used to enhance the yellows, whites, blacks and grays. Finally some vignetting is added.

Excellent capture Paul, like the diagonal of the white line and the great details and textures of the road surface. Outstanding processing, especially with the contrasts and tones.
LightningPaul: Many thanks John. I'm very glad I succeeded in enhancing the details, structures and contrasts.

How to make the mundane interesting, well done Paul
LightningPaul: That's one the aspects I like a lot of photography. Sometimes it can be hard to find something great until it's just laying on the ground while shopping.

Exactly like Zed, how to make an ordinary scene look great, very nice compo and treatment !
LightningPaul: Thanks Marc. It's one the aspects I like a lot of photography, suddenly you find something great on your way.
could well be mikado, the game
LightningPaul: smile Perhaps they just played that game.
We used to have a game called pick-up-sticks when I was a child and this reminded me of it. Well done for making a picture out of this
LightningPaul: Thanks Bill, I have also played this game a few times when I was a kid.

The ratio used turn the waste into prior art! Like the contrast and focus zone presented.
LightningPaul: Thanks, I really like to turn ordinary things into something more cool.
You have done really well Paul.
The yellows and grey work well . richard
LightningPaul: Thanks Richard.
It worked.
I like it, the lines and textures are a delight
Cheers
Rob
LightningPaul: Thanks Rob!

ah ah ah! what a perfect find!
LightningPaul: Thanks Elaine for your comment. Mostly nice things you see while you don't expect it or when you are (not so) prepared.

i think the compo and details are very nice, bravo!
LightningPaul: Many thanks for stopping by smile
An excellent result, I must take my camera with me everywhere!!
LightningPaul: I already missed many times potential great shots of not having my camera everywhere. Probably one day I'll buy another one (D300s or D400?), then I'll put my D200 into the trunk of my car.
The result is really good. I like the idea of improvisation on a parking
LightningPaul: Thanks Thierry. People passing by were pretty surprised because of my improvisation on the parking.
