photoblog image Palace of Culture and Science

Palace of Culture and Science

In the center of Warsaw, Poland, there is a huge building (according to European standards) called the Palace of Culture and Science. On top of you have a beautiful view. Inside you have multiple museums, a library, a cinema, two swimming pools, conference rooms, a theater and many other rooms .

TECH-INFO: The recipe is the same for many of my images made without speedlight flashes. I shot seven JPGs with each a stop difference using a tripod, cable release and bubble level. I merged them into HDR and tone mapped it in Photomatrix. Afterwards I enhanced the contrast of sky and building in Photoshop.

Very nicely done. I like the sky very much and how the building is old and beautiful and has that mod sign on it.
LightningPaul: Thanks Mike. I'm very glad you like it.
Wow. This is a building well worth photographing and you have done an excellent job.
LightningPaul: Thanks man smile
A few hours later after that shot I came back to shoot it again, just after the sunset. It looks even more spectacular.
Definitely a wow image Paul. I just love the perspective and the detail of this fascinating architecture. Excellent image in every respect.
LightningPaul: Thanks John. I was having some doubts to post it or not but I'm glad I did.
Very stately looking building - strong symmetry theme. I like the very wide angle effect.
LightningPaul: Thanks for your visit and comment.
Great shot, again your techniques reveal alot of detail in the building.
LightningPaul: Thanks Nigel. I love to show all the details smile

Very good work!
LightningPaul: Thanks Tero for your comment smile
Somehow the sign in the middle of the building seems totally out of place here!
LightningPaul: You're right, but I guess the pay for it, so they got this special place.

LightningPaul: Thanks Ilan! Did you already made it to Poland?
