While walking I noticed this bottom part of a garbage can near the street Las Ramblas in Barcelona. It has a dirty and urban feel so I had to shot it. Despites it's not clean I like to see it because probably there is a long story of how the garbage can and especially the ground got those interesting colors, textures and dirtiness. It could fit a theme called urban decay.
TECH-INFO: The picture is made using my Lensbaby Composer. At that moment I got it recently so I wanted to experiment with it. I love it that you can choose the sweet point, in this case it's the upper middle part of the frame. The original image was looking good but I felt I had to enhance the details and dirt. I'm mostly shooting JPGs but when I see an opportunity for my blog I mostly switch to RAW. Just like many of my single shot images I created three JPG exposures in DxO Optics Pro, merged them into a HDR file in Photomatrix and tone mapped it to get a maximum of details. In Photoshop I used the curves and selective color tools to make it even stronger. No cropping is done, only some vignetting.
