During my visit in Barcelona I noticed this nicely decorated garage gate. Especially this one looks so lovely :-)
I choose this image for the VFXY theme Valentine Pink/Red & White.
TECH-INFO: one RAW file, shot hand held, using a rather high ISO and long exposure. To enhance details I processed it in DxO and Photomatrix Pro, like many of my images. In Photoshop I enhanced and rebalanced the colors and contrast. This done by using masked adjustment layers of curves and the selective color tool. In short: the heart is made stronger and brighter, and the green a tad weaker. To me it still looks pretty natural. Finally I added a rectangular vignette which lets you focus even more on the topic. This image is heavily cropped, about 60% is gone. Originally the surrounding walls were visable but they were taking all the attention of the main topic. The crop ratio is 7/5, which is nicely between 3/2 and 4/3.

Without seeing the original the colours look fine. Certainly the heart leaps out from the screen.
LightningPaul: Thanks! I changed the strong graffiti green to a weak graffiti green (one the looks like washed away after several years). Anyway, I'm pretty sure that the author of the graffiti brings out the same message as I do now.
Thanks!
