The Metro station called Magenta in Paris. It looks empty but if you look very carefully you'll see someone walking at the end. I decided to post another Metro shot since many of you like them.
TECH-INFO: only one RAW file shot hand held. Developed 3 exposures in DxO Optics Pro. Merged them into a HDR file and tone mapped them. Used DxO again for local contrast enhancement. Afterwards processed in Photoshop where I used curves and dodging & burning techniques to bright up some parts and to add some vignetting. For the latter technique I mostly don't use the burn and dodge tools, I similate the effect by using lightness (HSL), brightness (B/C) and curve adjustment layers. I use the paint bucket tool, the eraser tool and the gradient tool to paint on the masks of those layers. Sometimes I make multiple masks and combine together to use for one adjustment layer. It's a powerfull technique to fine tune the image in a rather short time.

I agree another quality one for the series, I dont think I have seen any underground so empty.
LightningPaul: Thanks, I only visit Metro stations during rush hour ;-)
Let's say I was very lucky every time. Mostly you've got a second or less (but still enough to shoot for 1/10s). Also with digital you may try multiple times. And finally, if you can take the time to look around and to learn the area and the behaviour, though on holidays it's hard to do that properly.
I know this station and I ask myself a question: What time did you took this picture so that there is person ? Usually it is an ant !?
LightningPaul: I took this at 10h56 in the morning on the 21st of October. There are 4 tracks in the Magenta station (as far as I remember). It was very calm at this one, at the others were lots of people.
