Purple Flowers

These micro little flowers of a few millimeter big are so cute to see. They are mostly part of a big bouquet of flowers. Nobody really notices them but they are many times a warm addition to cheer up.

I choose this image for the VFXY theme Purple. It is certainly not the most original choice, though I'm glad with the post.

TECH-INFO: I used a lensbaby 2.0 in combination with a +10 macro screw on lens. An off camera speedlight flash was hand held around 10 cm above the flower to light the flowers. Hence the light source is relative big but still very directional and punchy.
The picture is loaded in Photoshop for RAW conversion. I was tired of switching continuously between Element and DxO so I purchased the big profesional brother. I have to say that I love the curve tool a lot .
The color of the little flowers were closer to red than to purple, I decided to cheat and shifted the colors more to blue (hey, I needed an image for the theme so badly). Due to that, one little place got ugly green colors which I cloned away. Using a curves adjust layer I popped up the middle a little bit. A second adjust layer is added to darken the corner slightly. Finally I cropped it into a square format.

I like this quite a lot. It feels like being immersed in purple.
LightningPaul: Thanks for your comment. Originally it was red but because you see purple much less it makes the purple much more immersed.

I am floating on a sea of purple. Good idea!
LightningPaul: Happy floating smile
nice bit of twiddling Paul.
LightningPaul: Thanks Bill! Besides the color change, it's pretty close to the original picture.
