photoblog image Overview Barcelona from Palau Nacional

Overview Barcelona from Palau Nacional

Taken from Palau Nacional of the Montjuic neighborhood in Barcelona. On some days in the evening you can see the dancing fountains, a great show with light, music and water of course.

TECH-INFO: shot 9 JPG files with one stop difference, merged them into HDR file using Photomatrix. Tone mapped it, then post processed the contrasts and lighting in DxO and Photoshop Elements. I did not use a tripod but I have put my camera on top a little wall to avoid movements between the shots.

That's a beautiful plaza. I wish we had stuff like that where I live.
LightningPaul: Thanks. Barcelona is a fantastic place to visit. We stayed 3 nights but that is even way too short.

Wonderful cityscape I would love to see that fountain at night
LightningPaul: Me too. I heard a lot about it. Unfortunately there were no shows during our visit. I have to go back over there one day.
Very impressive Paul
LightningPaul: Thanks Bill!
I wouldn`t have the patience, or skill, to do this, but I am pleased you have! Lovely, lovely cityscape. (:o)

WOW! The view, the point of view was fantastic. The details viewing are absolutely outstanding. The architecture of this city is unique, for me... I don't know what the guy do in the lower middle of the photo!
LightningPaul: I'm very delighted by your comment. Many thanks.
This guy is taking an image, highly probably of the palace behind me. He could end up a nice picture but the viewing side of the palace will be in shadow.

wow, great shot. the city and the buildings in the center, and the mountains in the backgroud, nicely composed with those clouds.
detail: I really like the lonely person standing in the bottom of the image
LightningPaul: I only noticed the lonely person when I came home but I agree, he is a nice bonus smile
