photoblog image Destruction of Building

Destruction of Building

Made during my trip in Barcelona of last weekend. Not the most representative picture for this beautiful, modern and cultural city but it serves the current VFXY theme Destruction. Later I'll post many more pictures of course, though I need some time to select and process them. Currently I still have a bunch of images of Paris and Rotterdam.

TECH-INFO: last week I got my new Lensbaby Composer. Awesome toy! While wondering around I saw a little piece of this destructed place. First I focused and then I put my camera over the fence to press the shutter a few times. Processed one RAW file in DxO to get multiple exposures and monochrome colors, Photomatrix to reveal the details and Photoshop Elements to add vignetting using adjustment layers.

I always like the effect of Lens babies, I have hardly played with my v3sad
LightningPaul: Shame on you ;-) I think it's not so easy to use a Lensbaby in a effective way but when you succeed then the result is mostly fantastic.
When I saw the thumbnail I thought Lensbaby!! Never had one and I am not a fan
LightningPaul: Perhaps one day I can turn you into the biggest fan ;-)
I wonder if you are also not so found of very wide open apertures which makes mostly all parts of an image also pretty blurry.

I do appreciate your opinion, so even if you disagree.
Great title, actually feel like this image is exploding right out of the screen. Superb processing, contrasts and tones.
LightningPaul: I didn't realize that the exploding effect would be that good. Many thanks John for your comment.
Really explodes, I like it.
LightningPaul: Thanks a lot Miro. I'm happy you agree with the exploding effect, though I didn't fully realize it in the beginning.

What a technique to obtain an excellent picture! Like colors, detail and contrast. Thank a lot about tech-info. I will check for learn what its lensbaby.
LightningPaul: Many thanks! I'm very happy that you like the tech-info a lot. I really learned a lot about photography, lighting and some post processing stuff by reading similar info on other websites. So I really love it myself. That's the reason I do it too.
I will try to make it even more detailed and extended in the future.
