In the lower part of La Defense, Paris, there is water decorated with lamps which are continuously switched on and off. Straight in front, but very far away, you can clearly see the monument Arc de Triomphe. It looks like a small square with a hole. It is a very lovely neighborhood full of incredible buildings and art.
TECH-INFO: 3 RAW files with an exposure difference of one stop. All shot hand held. Merge into a HDR file in Photomatrix using the alignment option. I made two tone mapped versions. The first one where the big building and the sky looks great but the water in the shadow was rather dark. In the other one was the water looks nice but the building was suffering of halos. I combined them in Photoshop Elements using layers and the eraser tool.

I love shooting wide angle.
