One of the beautiful buildings in the business center La Defense in Paris. It's a really nice area to walk over there. So many cool architectural details to see.
TECH-INFO: one RAW file of which I developed multiple exposure, made a HDR image, tone mapped it, then used the developed exposures again to blend them together. Afterwards I used the two results to blend them again. Way to many steps because the result looks like the original one with some vibrance and contrast boosts. Except the lighting is perhaps 3% better :-) Anyway it was fun experimenting and to learn that the original image with some minimal post processing can be good enough.

I like the simplicity of this shot, Paul, very effective.
We visited La Defense several years ago, which bizzarely hardly featured in the (v well known) tour guide we had for Paris, but really glad we made the effort. Especially to travel up the Grande Arch and walk about at the top as it's some view.
LightningPaul: Many thanks for your comment. I'm very glad you appreciate the composition of this shot.
Wonderful once again. Great colours and unusual perspective. The part of the picture is sufficient, seeing more wouldn't make a better one i believe Great detail on the metal down right.
LightningPaul: Thanks for your comment Alex. I made more pictures of the metal down right. It looks like some kind of UFO. Maybe it was ;-)
I do admire your ability to produce HDR pictures that are not overdone. The composition here is excellent Paul. No amount of HDR or anything else will improve a badly composed picture.
LightningPaul: Great thanks Bill! I fully agree with your HDR statement. And I'm also glad you appreciate my HDR tone mappings. I use them to reveal and enhance textures and details, not to become the next Picasso
Really interesting composition. Nice clarity and colours again (although you seem to have something weird happening with sharpening in some of the lines between window panes on the main building.) But I mirror others' comments that you do a great job of HDR that enhances the photo in a realistic way rather than the overdone effects seen too often with this technique.
LightningPaul: There is indeed something strange between the window panes. It is even present in the RAW file. I think it is a mistake of the raw converter when combining the red/green/blue pixels. If you look well you see circle patterns.
Many thanks for your comment. I highly appreciate it.
