An image created for the VFXY theme Darkness. Yesterday I have been shooting in the graveyard but I didn't take anything great. When I was about to leave I noticed in the total darkness this great light hidden between the trees. The light is coming from the parking place of a big new shopping mall in the neighborhood (B-park, Sint-Pieters in Brugge). The amount of the light is enormous. It lits the clouds very well and nicely. Personally I like the picture a lot. It has a very calm atmosphere.
TECH-INFO: almost straight from the camera, only used DxO Lighting very slightly. Despites a long exposure, a bigger aperture and a modest ISO, the trees are still close to black. Even my camera was almost not able to focus anymore.

This is a strange picture Paul. The dark of the foreground is perhaps a little to solid for me.
LightningPaul: It is the purpose to keep the foreground almost looking as a silhouette, to preserve the same kind of darkness I have experienced at that place. Of course it is always a matter of taste. I'm happy you feel it is strange. At that moment it was. Thanks for your comment.
