I really like photographing people. Here is a happy posing couple who wanted to have a nice picture. The colors, light and happiness are properties of this image of which I'm pretty satisfied with.
TECH-INFO: two speedlight flashes used. One with a shoot through umbrella (look into their eyes). The second one with a grid, to avoid light spill, to the green wall in the background. I have put a little plant just in front of the gridded flash to create some abstract pattern on the background, but it is not so visable as I had hoped. No computer post processing was needed. If you are interested in Learn How To Light (cheaply) using little speedlight flashes, then visit Strobist.

This is an area I know nothing, zilch, nada, zip about but would very much like to learn, photographing people, other than my own kids is a real hurdle in want and need to get over.
This is a really effective shot and I would be very pleased to have taken this Paul.
LightningPaul: You can easily learn lighting like that, see www.strobist.com, look for Lighting 101 to get started. The whole site, by David Hobby, is dedicated to off camera flash, just to get better results than straight flash (which mostly looks ugly).
I participated a workshop of him in Paris just one year ago. It was amazing! He truly opened many doors for me on how to light. Perhaps he'll come to England next year.
