One of the little beautiful wooden houses in New Port Beach near Los Angeles, California. From the house you have very nice view on the port full with yachts. The residents come to stay there during the winters. After all, the climate is pretty nice in Southern California.
TECH-INFO: Performed a perspective correction to get nice straight lines. A better way would be using a Tilt and Shift lens, but they are a little bit too expensive. I had to crop very tight at the right, because the house of the neighbor had some nasty disturbing elements. Unfortunately a part of the flag is removed too, though we all know how it looks like. As usual, I slightly played with the tone curve and vibrancy setting.

Nicely done Paul. Over here I guess a tilt and shift lens would set you back the best part of £1000. so I'll stick to software
LightningPaul: Many thanks! The tilt can be easily compensated by performing perspective correction using software but I still miss the shift :-( Though it's possible to build one yourself, like here: http://www.creativepro.com/article/build-a-tilt-shift-camera-lens-peanuts
Perhaps I'll try it one day
