photoblog image Little Kid Playing on Beach

Little Kid Playing on Beach

In the beginning it was pretty warm. Later it became very cloudy and suddenly we felt rain drops. But kids don't mind at all. They just continue playing in the sand... well until they get very hungry or want something else of you :-)

TECH-INFO: the clouds were so evenly lit that the light was extremely soft but also very very dull. This means a pretty small dynamic range of light, which most digital cameras like a lot, and shooting in black and white because of lack of nice colors and direct sun light.
During post processing I only had to increase the contrast, the light was a bit too soft. This change makes for instance jeans looking pretty cool.

Very effective processing and I agree with your choice of B&W. Looks to be good sand for building sand castles! I like how the spots of rain have darkened the sand,

just like England kids on the beach playing in the raingrin
Like the angle and conversion, like your idea to include the tech-info too Paul.
LightningPaul: Thanks! Here in Belgium we always get your clouds, together with (lots of) rain, from England :-D

I was thinking quiet a lot about the idea of including tech-info in my posts but I'm glad you like it. I'll try to do it very often.
I like the choice of angle... very nice shot ;-)
LightningPaul: Many thanks!
